The answer is no.

When you´ve grown up so long with a sport that is one of your top sports in the country then it will never be replaced by something else.

Ask yourself this, Would American football ever take the place in popularity to our football!?

Whilst both sports are now played in both countries, the popularity of each differ. Soccer has become more popular in North America since they held the World Cup and clubs are springing up here and there. It´s popularity there is very slowly gaining momentum, but will never usurp AF´s position, not by a long way.

AF in england is played but i would hazard a guess and say Soccer in North America is more popular than AF in England.

No, because soccer won't catch on in the American culture. It's not a popular sport to watch like American football.

At this stage, it would take someone like another Tiger Woods to come along and really give Americans something to cheer for in soccer. That's too bad because I like it, and I live in the USA as well. The reason most people don't really like it is because they don't understand it.

I for one love both American AND European football. I can't understand why sooooo many people feel you have to pick one to love and one to despise. I have played each sport, and I know that you have to be an athlete in both. Each requires it's own set of skills, tactics, and abilities, and neither sport is easily mastered. Enjoy each for what it is. Haters aren't needed anywhere.
