My unborn baby hasn't really kicked in the last couple of days. For the last few weeks, he's been very active, to the point where it's been annoying. The last two days, he's barely done anything, a couple of kicks this morning, a couple last night, a few times throughout yesterday. No where near as much as before. When should I call the doctor? How many days should I wait? Should I wait any more days?

He hasn't moved after coffee, food, water or exercise.

He's got alot less room in there to kick than he used to.

You can call the doctor if you want...and he'll have you come in and listen with the doppler...

Or you can go to target and buy a reall crappy one for 20 bucks...or you can go to www.bellybeats.com and rent one for 20 bucks a month and listen for yourself.

I had the same anxiety, so I rented one...and everytime I started freakingout....I'd just pull out the doppler and find the heartbeat. It was really comforting.

You're ok...you don't mention how far along you are ..but I know towards the end I didn't get nearly as many kicks...come to find out later...my son was 10 pounds and basically all pretzelled in there...lol he barely had room to sit...let alone kick.

He's kicking...that's good. You just need to relax mamma...and if that means going to the doctor and having a listen..then do it...but I'm sure you and baby are just fine.

Drink a glass of cold water, this usually wakes the little one up. Also, try lying flat on your back for a few minutes and put your feet up if you can.

If there's still no change, contact your doctor. Better safe than sorry. Sometimes the baby is just lazy or tired, but sometimes it could mean there might be a problem, maybe he's not getting enough oxygen. I know you might be busy or it might be expensive to see a doctor if it's not an emergency, but please don't let this go on for too long and go with your gut feeling. If you think something might be wrong, don't feel silly about asking the doctor for advice. After all, your baby's worth wasting your time!

Well it depends a lot on how far along you are. Earlier in pregnancy its very normal to have times when the baby doesnt kick as much. They can also become less active towards the end. You should be feeling your baby at least 10 times A DAY, many people will say an hour but 10 time in a day is fine. If you are really worried its always best to call your DR. Good Luck!

Try not to worry, I am sure he is sleeping. Depending on how far along you are your baby is going through a lot of growth spurts and will sleep a lot one day and then the next be very active. But all concerns (you are the mommy you know your baby) you should call your doctor and just ask if the decrease in his activity is a problem. Your doc might order an ultra sound just to check things out or just have you come in so she can hear the heart beat. Congratulations on the baby! All the luck in the world to you!

It is very very normal for the baby to change his kicking habits. You should feel something - a little something at least, every 4 hours. If you are active, the baby is less likely to move because it is being rocked to sleep when you are moving. If you dont feel the baby move for an entire day then I would see someone immediately but if you are feeling anything pretty often he/she should be fine!! If it is late in your third trimester, the baby really slows down moving because there isnt much room in there to move.

Don't wait anymore days, drink a cold cup of water then sit down for a half an hour with your hands on your stomach and count baby's movents if he/she doesn't move more than 10 times in that half an hour call the hospital where you are planing on having your baby and let them know that he/she hasn't been moving much and let them now you tryed the cold water and hands on your belly for a half an hour and movements haven't picked up, they may suggest you go into get monitored... Good luck

If you are in your last trimester, it is fairly normal for your little one to move into a position where you don't always feel him kicking. If you are concerned, by all means, call your doctor. The folks with whom you share your concern will only see you as a loving and concerned mom. There's certainly no shame in that. I'm sure your son is fine, but you shouldn't be stressed out. Go ahead and give your doctor's office a call. They'll only appreciate your concern. Have a wonderful day Mom! Annie

This all depends on how far along you are. I believe it's the 3rd trimester your baby will not move around as much as before. This is because well the space is kinda crammed and he/she doesn't have that much room to move around. I think as long as you are feeling the baby a couple times an hour you should be fine. Anytime you are not really sure you should contact your dr. Better safe than sorry. Good Luck and congrats!!

well how far a long are you? i had a similar problem my son was barley kicking, they ended up pulling him out via c section a little early. he came out floppy and needed to be in the nicu for a few days. i would say you know best do feel like everything is ok. also try drinking a ice cold cup of water and go lay down on your left side. if he doesnt respond to that then i would defenitly say go in immediately. most likely they will want to hook you up and do a nst to make sure baby is doing ok. however you do have to remember the closer you get to your due date the less they move because they are getting too big.
