I wasn't around then but I can tell you that in 1939 the BBC had such comedy programs as "Bebe Daniels & Ben Lyon" and "Take two eggs"!
From 1940 until 1945 there was nothing because "there was a War on!"
In 1946 we had programs like "The Village Store", "Paging You", and "Joyce Grenfell"!
For more info visit www.bbc.co.uk/heritage/story
Hope this helps!

Television broadcasting was suspended in World War 2. Do you mean shows SET in World War 2?
Comedy: Dadas Army, Allo Allo.
Documentary: World at War, currently on digital.

Television started in the late 30's for a very limited area around London but it shut down for the duration of the war.

If you want help, we need more information, especially considering TV was not really around during WW2. That was in the day of radios. Are you sure you've got your facts right?
Old shows (the oldest I can think of):
Howdy Doody Show
Rin Tin Tin
The Tonight Show

there were very few TV back in WWII so most of the programs weren't on TV they were on the Radio but if you go to wikipedia you probably could find information or go to http://www.vivisimo.com and type in TV Shows that aired during WWII and you should be able to find information

There was no TV in the war, but since then we have comedies like Dads Army or dramas like Colditz.
There are loads more film dramas about the war and life in wartime, ones like Mrs MInaver or In which we serve. Brief Encounters and Saving Private Ryan all come to mind
