I would be very careful of dealing with on line lenders. Most of them are Advance Fee lenders. You pay a fee up front. However, once they get your fee, you never hear from them again and you never get the loan.

Stick with legitimate lenders. There are a ton of people that come on Yahoo Answers and post that they are "Private Lenders". Personally, I think they're all scams.

I'm giving you a link to the Federal Trade Commission. You can read their warning about advance fee lender scams on the internet.

It's hard to trust any lendor online. If you must do business this way, contact the BBB first and have the company checked out.

Personally, I prefer to doing business with lenders face-to-face. At least, this way, I don't they're not ripping me off.

Try prosper.com. It is a person to person lending site that allows you to create a listing (request) for money and other members bid how much he/she is willing to lend to you. It is kind of difficult to explain but the site is really good for people whose credit isn't in the top tier.

Stay away from anyone online who offers you money - they're scams, every single last one of them!
