You can get any laptop with 2gb of ram, just go to the manufacturer's website and configure it as such. There are no laptops that are 500 pounds so that issue is out of the way as well.

You can't. Don't buy from ebay or dell. What you going to do if it doesn't or stop working. Buy one local so you can take it back if its not right or if you live in the uk have a look at www.ebuyer.co.uk They have an excellent next day service. Also have a look at www.comet.co.uk They have an acer dual core which will be far better than your 2ghz single core but you will have to upgrade the memory yourself. Can definately recommend the laptop on the comet site as my son has it. Good value at £499

Several options:

- Ask family and friends, someone might have one (or know someone) who wants to sell one
- eBay
- Dell.com

But it might be difficult to find a cheap laptop with 2 Gb of RAM. Depending on what you expect or want from your laptop, 1 Gb is often enough.

You'd have more milage from getting one of those cheepy cheep 399 laptops from one of the multiples and buying a gig of ram seperately. Check that your laptop has a spare hole to install the ram into.

You can get that only in India. But allow me to tell you 2gig ram is not correct whether it is DDRSD or DDR or DDR2 you must specify.
