Hate to whisper an 'inconvenient truth'... but psssst: congress is democratic now. He can phone Nancy P.? maybe use his success with this movie to address an agenda, legislation etc.? but, then again he already ignored this issue in the White House for 8 years, right? brought mega-SUVs to soccer moms and eliminated the pesky need for the Fed. MPG standards (something begun under Reagan... gasp!!). PS - Kyoto was in '97 and he left in 2000. Do the math, think for yourselves.

I don't believe any of this hype re: global warming. His utilities for his 10,000 sq. ft. home use as much electrictiy as a full neighborhood, for cry'in out loud. And he and his wife own 3 huge homes in different states. He also drives a huge SUV which tells me he can talk all he wants, but he needs to show he can walk the talk.

Besides, the oceans are heating up from the rifts in the ocean floor. Every time there's an earthquake event, the oceans are exposed to the heat that is being emitted from the core and lava flows which come to the top. Also, there are new volcanic formations on the ocean's floors which are spewing toxic emmissions into the waters...plus hot gasses. These scientists are only looking at the air above, not the problem below.

It's just like that article I read that says people in the Antiartic are using air conditioners because the ice and snow are melting at an alarming rate. I really don't think that the region is ready for AC, do you? The White House has not ignored the issue and the President has been filmed with hundreds of different sources for creating new fuels from plants, has appropriated untolled millions of dollars to new entrapaneurs for developing their new cars that will be going into production soon with advanced batteries that will have up to 140 driving hours per charge (which would then be plugged into house current). They're going to start pushing out production of these cars. Trouble is, no one goes on to the White House web site to see any of this stuff and only listens to media reports. So how can they know what he's not doing, or doing? I look at everything because I trust NO MEDIA. I go to the source.

How can someone be so ignorant that can't see global warming all over the place?

On November 12, 1998, Vice President Al Gore symbolically signed the protocol.

The US was a signatory to the protocol but Bush has not proposed it for ratification.

You should be PUNISHED for being responsible for so many deaths on Earth, knowing you are and still ignoring it.

ZERO scientist have said that there is no global warning, ZERO!!!!! and yet over 50% of the articles in the press claim that it might not be true. Can you see the bias everyone in your government lobbying for big corporations having an influence? Well I can as you idiots that still don't believe in global warming are more concerned about Al Gore's consumption than the evidence he was showing.

Get real and realise you only have this position because politicians wanted you to.

Even the hardliners in politics have now softened the speech because they rendered to the evidence all over the world.

You can't see a plane even if it hits you on the face. God Almighty save us from ignorance.

Don't speculate go there and see for yourselves if you don't believe it. No scam there, unless Al Gore or all those scientists have planted you there to see. Get real and stop being stupid. We are destroying ourselves and the planet. Each one of us HAS to take responsibility

The APS Council has formally come out against the assertion that looks in dailytech. whether, their professional place being what it particularly is, their opinion is difficulty to alter. there is turning out to be stress in the medical community that would desire to be reason for them to reassess their decision, and one insider's voice might have relfected albeit ahead that they are by using make an assertion like this quicker or later. it may nicely be drawing close, yet till it particularly is made professional their modern-day place stands. J. Marque, editor of the APS communicate board the place the item grew to become into published, had this to assert (partly) "there's a significant presence in the medical community of persons who do no longer consider the IPCC end that anthropogenic CO2 emissions are..." which makes sparkling that there is a severe point of skepticism in APS over AGW. Larry Gould, yet another APS member and Professor of Physics on the college of Hartford and Chairman of the hot England area of the APS, says that the IPCC has diverse exaggerations and "extensive blunders" in that is records. i've got self assurance that the APS will quickly formally grow to be a non-supporter of AGW and the assertion could come as no ask your self to all and sundry.

First, he's not even in office now, now being when a lot of people are actually paying attention, thanks in part to his movie.

Secondly, the Democratic Party only has a one seat majority in the US Senate, the GOP can fillabuster and "W" can still veto almost anything with impunity.

Third, just because the Congress is democratic doesn't mean that every last democrat cares enough about the enviorment to do something.

It is a well known fact that cows produce methane in their flatulence. It is also a well known fact that methane is a much more potent green house gas than CO2. It is a fact that Al Gore has consume several hundred cows in his attempt to reduce global warming since he left the white house.

Well, it seems that you have already made up your mind about what he is all about so there really is no point in answering this question. But i will anyways, he made that movie to affect millions of people, not just a few people in DC. He probably has gone to people in congress and they didnt address this issue properly. How could he not be concerned about this issue. Everyone is...And even if he really isnt doing that much to do things right, he still made a movie that is affecting millions that might just do something.

Good ol' Al is a phony. He uses more energy at his mansion in one month than the average home uses ALL year. He flies around in corporate jets, he has big SUVs, his family even has ties to big oil. Yes liberals, ties to big oil. Th best thing Al can do is to shut his mouth, that would reduce CO2 and diet. He's getting pretty fat.

Al Gore is advocating for personal responsibility. There are ways each of us, in our personal lives can reduce our carbon footprint, as Al Gore has done in his. I find it ironic that there are people who do more to research Al Gore's personal lifestyle, than researching positive ways to reduce emissions. I think it's called kill the messenger. They can't argue with the science of global warming, so they attack Al Gore, personally.
