I didn't understand my acquaintance/friend's hot/cold disposition towards me: sometimes they seemed to like me and other times they didn't seem to know who the hell i was. A mutual friend, one of his best friends, said "he is just a very confused person".
I guess that sort of was an explaination but I am still scratching my head about what that means.
I suppose it means not to take it personally? but i am not sure
does anyone have any clue what someone means when they decscribe their good friend as a "confused person"?
this person is a senior in a good college, he is very booksmart, kind of shy maybe, but does go and socialize on the weekends, but usualy/always with a close group of the same friends....

I don't respond verbally to people sometimes. It's not that I don't like them. It's nothing personal. I simply don't feel like talking. It may be a hard thing to understand. At least, I imagine so considering how much the people I know talk and how many times my quiet nature is referred to.
Is your 'friend' like me? I dunno. Confused can mean so many things if you consider all the little things a person can be confused about. Or did he mean everything? Your 'friend' just may not like you (sorry to say it) but doesn't know how to sever the ties.
Really, you just need to decide if you'll put up with it. He may be worth it, he may not.
Sorry I don't have concrete answers.

Some people are just crazy, wacky, loony, disturbed, emotionally challenged, seems like your friend was trying to be nice by saying he is a 'confused' person. I would have worded it 'he has issues'.
Good luck, just don't let him play with an axe or gun while you're around.

a confused person says he or she is going to do this or he or she believes in this but actions are completely different of what they say. Someone thats not sure and cannot make a definite decison.

i am presiving this information as someone who gets confused easly he is unsure of what he wants and goes to one extreme to aother hence confused!

maybe its a medical problem someone needs to confront him and have him checked out it could be his sugar
