Alicia is of Italian descent. Susan has a son, Andreas and a daughter Liza. Liza just made Susan a Grandmother! Liza is on Passions.
I think the casting department at AMC did an excellent job of hiring Alicia to play Susan's daughter. You're very right - they do look exactly alike. Good casting.

No. Alicia was born to a woman of Italian descent. She is originally from Florida. Susan Lucci has two chidren with her husband Helmut Huber. They are the parents of serial actress Liza Huber (who is currently on Passions as Gwen), and Andreas Huber (he didn't follow in their footsteps.)
