abortion as a form of birth control is NOT okay

abortion for medical reasons (d&c), mother's life is in danger, rape by incest, etc. is okay in my opinion.

Too many people look on abortion as a form of birth control, and that's the issue. The bigger issue is what people consider the definition of life. When is it okay to abort "it?" Is "it" considered alive when the heart starts beating, when it starts moving, when the mother feels the kicking begin, not until the baby is born, or does it begin at conception?

The really terrible thing about this is that most people get worked up over things like the squirrel birth control issue in san diego right now than the millions of fetuses being aborted every day.

I don't know how many people will answer this question, but I can personally say that if I had a 13 year old daughter who made a mistake and got pregnant, I wouldn't allow an abortion. If I were raped, I would still have the baby.

Everyone who has chosen to use abortion as a form of bc has wrestled with themselves over the definition of life in an effort to console themselves and make them feel okay about their decision. You just have to decide for yourself if and when it is okay to snuff out a life.

Abortion as a form of birth control is wrong in my opinion.

Abortion to protect a mother's life should be legal, and a choice left up to the pregnant woman. Abortion for a girl or woman who has been raped should be legal, and a choice left up to the pregnant woman or girl.

I am pro choice, not because I am pro abortion but because I feel that the issue of abortion is not all black and white.

There are grey areas, like pregnancy by rape, where women should have the option to get an abortion if they choose to. I can't imagine some young girl getting pregnant by rape and having to carry that child to term. What about school and how she would handle that....glearing looks from adults, and the physical strain on her young body all because a man forced himself on her? Another grey area is health risk on the mother. If she is in grave danger, and has children at home...she should have the right to make a choice on whether she continues her pregnancy or not. If she chooses to take the chnace and carry the baby then good for her. If she decides that she wants to terminate that pregnancy to ensure that she will still be there to care for her other children then that is her right.

It really is sad, very sad...when it is used strictly as a form of birth control. It saddens me to think someone can excuse it saying they just "aren't ready". If I ever have a daughter who makes a "mistake" as a teenager I will encourage her to carry the child, and to look to the option of adoption. If you play, sometimes you have to pay.

I think abortion is wrong altogether, some people say its ok if something is wrong with the baby, well if its not life-threatening dont you think they should love the baby no matter what? I have never agreed with it and never will. Some girls just think its a form of birth control they think they can have sex, get pregnant and have an abortion and its ok. Im not saying everyone is like that but kost young girls are.

No matter what we might say, killing an innocent life has always been wrong and we all know that for a fact. It is also a matter of choice, and the government should not be involved in this because it is really up to the future mother or choose and nobody else

Never ok who are you too take someone's life.....Especially when you have babies surviving being born as early as 21 weeks. And they say that it is ok it is not a child. And for those who think that it is a woman's choice google this performing 2nd trimester abortion and see how it is performed if that don't change your mind you are a cruel person. If I choose too kill my child at birth I would be in jail but because he didn't take his first breath yet it is ok. BULLSHIT.

Abortion is every womens right to chose. However, if that women is on wlelfare she should not get one cent additional money because she is bringing forth a child that she cannot support, the government should pay for her abortion should she chose that. If she does not, than her welfare should be reduced for every additional child she brings forth that she cannot support.

It's not that simple as okay......It's a decision that should not be made lightly, but sometimes necessarily...I am pro choice, I think more people should have had one, instead of bringing unwanted children into this world,,,,
