is modulator valve on the top or bottom of 1985 transmission?

modulator valve is always on the side never on the top and usually on the passanger side.

Near the top on the side. Round thing with a vaccum hose attatched.

Follow the vacuum hose its usually on the side.If its a borg warner 65 thats it.

passenger side of the transmission, I believe.

It shouldn't be hard to find, follow the vacuum hose.
