tips for Catalunya 10 days visit?

we are 30+couple, travelling to Barcelona for 10 days in March.We'll spend 6 days more or less inside the city, and would like to take short trips to Catalunya area, or other major near-by cities, as well. can you please help by giving Good tips? thanks, :-)

Take a day trip to Montserrat

Make sure you see all of gaudi's work with segrada de la familia and gaudi's little village (Guell Park) and the few homes he made there

Also see if you can get to a bull fight.

When around the Olympic Stdiums go to Montjuic

Las Ramblas is really awesome as well....and at the end of the street by the harbour go up into the colombus statue!

In Barcelona:
Visit Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, La Rambla, Gothic Quarter, take a dip in the Mediterranean. A nice spot for "tapas" is La Cerveceria, right at the beginning of La Rambla.

Outside Bcn: Girona is a beautiful roman city about an hour away by train. Visit Teatre-Museu Dali in Figueres. If you like theme parks, visit Universal's PortAventura.

If you're here on the weekend of 15-17 March, I would recomend going to Valencia for "Las Fallas". Its about 3 hours away by train, but its a treat, especially Sunday at midnight.

Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. - Girona and Costa Brava (Figueres: Dali Museum, Cadaqués: a beautiful little fishermen's village, Platja D'Aro etc...check the website below it will give you several proposals
- Pirineos Mountain: you can go to the Girona part which is the closest one to Barcelona, you can find info on the webpage I already gave you
- Montserrat: go see the Monastery is really nice
- Sitges: close to Barcelona, go eat a paella in any of the restaurants close to the beach: an excellent but a little bit expensive one: EL VELERO, awesome food, worth it!
- Tarragona: Roman city, go visit the ruins.
- In Barcelona just a tip: Las Ramblas is one of the most crowded streets in Barcelona...plenty of tourist and therefore plenty of picpocketers...I hate this street, don't go to any of the restaurants there, absolutely expensive prices...docens of other streets in Barcelona are better than this, just one thing to visit in that aera: Mercat del Born and of course the streets around las Ramblas close to the Cathedral: Barri Gòtic: awsome.

in the north of Catalunya you should definitly visit Girona, a really nice and quiet city and also it may be interesting the Dali Museum in Figueres. Also, the beaches of Costa Brava are really nice, even though it's a little cold right now to take a bath. and in the south, probably Tarragona, it was an important roman city
