Although the Dawg is a newer mascot of the Browns (there are actually 4 at the game), the original mascot was an Elf, used back in the 60's, and is still used sometimes today. This past year the Elf was represented on the back of the winter jackets and panchos of the players on the sideline.

And to Z's comment, the Dawg pound was a nickname given to the bleacher section of the old stadium back in the 80's, long before it was represented as a mascot of the "New" Browns.

they dont officially have a mascot but you could say a dawg or that stupid little elf thing
