You need a specific topic, because ecology is too broad. AMaybe you could talk about one industry and how it effects the ecology. Maybe raising sheep or making paper.

DANG! 4000 words??!! Thats too long. i used to be in the IB program too in chicago....... well i suggest you do alot of research. Look at websites and books. especially books. They help alot.
