Wes Walker average at best. I dont think he was worth an early second round pick.

Yes, because the WR corpes is so depleted this year in the draft. There are a few top guys like Calvin Johnson, but after the top 5, the drop off in skill level is dramatic. Wes Welker is better than a guy like, say, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio State. He's got some breakaway speed, and some upside to be a great possession reciever.

I think he was worth it. He can return kicks and punts - he's a pretty decent return man. He can be a possession reciever which is never a bad thing. He has Tom Brady throwing to him. Brady makes all of his recievers better than what they actually are. Welker was Miami's best reciever last year. He had 67 catches with two wastes of space throwing the ball to him. I think he'll work well with the Pats offense and Brady. And if the Pats land Moss and get a legitimate deep threat - WATCH OUT!!!.

I think that was a move for the Pats to not let the dynasty slip away. They need someone that can hit the ground running and take less development. Welker proved that if used correctly he can be a force. He is a great special teams player and an above-average receiver and he fits the Pats perfectly. Not a huge star, but who on that team is besides Brady? He fits well... With the acquisition of him AND Adalius Thomas, it looks like the Pats are making moves to win this year, and not focused on developing.... Good choice for them I think.

the main advantageous distinction between first and 2nd around selections is money. the placement that a participant is going so a great way as rounds are often desperate by technique of what a team needs, below/upperclassman assessment, stats for themselves and in assessment to gamers at a diverse point of play (I-AA, II, and III)on an analogous place, and injury history. some gamers are equivalent in expertise yet because of the fact of the place they performed or how many seasons they remained unhurt could verify the place they finally end up.

He's not a bad pick up for the Pats but I thought the same thing....was he worth a #2 AND a #7 pick ...... 2 picks for this guy? Seems a bit high for what they are getting.

They were totally decimated at WR...No Doug Gabriel, and the Pats fans don't need a replay of Reche (can't catch a) Cold-well in the AFC Championship...Troy Brown is their most reliable WR...and thats not good, because he is also the oldest player on the team...
