If it's an epidemic, it's as old homosexuality itself. Judging is just as old.

I see homophobia as learned behavior, and those who never take the time to learn about the world around them will continue to perpetuate it ... and after reading the definition of epidemic again I do feel homophobia could apply ... but its more of a "social disease" ... it seems to me when you confront people as individuals they back off their hateful statements ... yet, when in a group they revert to the hateful statements to more or less "fit in" ... i dunno if that will ever change ... but there are people in the world straight and gay that understand, they just dont speak out as loudly as the hatters

Judging is a whole different ball game ... I think we all judge others from time to time ... its just the very tactful people who choose to keep the negative judgments to themselves ... there is not a whole lot to be gained from sideways statements and name calling ... other than humor, but jokes are just that, stereotypes to laugh at ourselves ... people are entitled the their opinions and are free to share them with the world ... it is the rest of our responsibility not to take their judgments personally

if you know yourself, no one can hurt you with words, opinions, or judgements

Whenever an oppressed group begins to fight for equal rights and equal treatment there will always be opposition. The more these groups speak out the more vocal the bigots get as well.

" homophobia" is a word invented to villainize anyone who doesn't support the gay agenda. Dislike of perversions of any kind has been around since man has appeared on the earthand will not likely be ending soon.
