2004 chevy impala heater turns on and off at will, sometimes I have to blow the horn for the heater to blow?

Please help! It's cold in there. I will have the heater on in the car and all of a sudden it will shut off but if I blow the horn it will come bACK ON. This doesn't work all of the time. I need heat.........

Use a voltmeter, and check your body and engine grounds. If you have a significant voltage, you have a bad ground.

Look for the big ground wire between the engine and the frame. If that's loose or missing things like that will happen.
