A yeast infection is caused when a fungus in the Candida family grows excessively in your vagina.

Yeast is always present in your vagina... it's everywhere, in fact. You can get yeast infections any warm, moist place on your body. When you are healthy, your body maintains a pH balance and other friendly organisms that keep the numbers of candida down. However, sometimes, this process doesn't work. Taking antibiotics, douching, not keeping your vagina clean, or having uncontrolled diabetes can vary your pH and destroy the helpful organisms and make you susceptible to yeast infection. And sometimes you get yeast infections with no particular reason why... your body just fell down on the job and didn't fight it off.

"Candida, which is a type of yeast or fungus, is normally found in the body. When your body is in balance it usually causes no problems. When the internal environment is out of balance from stress or fatigue, the yeast can over grow." I found this for you. Also if you consume alot of sugar it can cause this imbalance so watch you sugar intake.

If you like yogurt, and I'm talking about the "not loaded with sugar" type, start eating a serving everyday. Also, I know at health food stores they have a supplement to control the growth of it. Just one of the other reasons it sucks to be a women, but at least we know it's not caused by eating too much bread.lol

I do know that it isn't healthy for women to eat too much yeast. First it comes out of your skin and then to nice dark warm places, so it can grow.

good luck & bless
