I am receiving mails from [e-mail] and I want this person to stop, how can I do this?

I dont know this person, he or she is writing thinks about my life and threatining me...please help me to stop this person.

To keep them from getting through go to mail options Block Addresses and enter their email address and they won't be able to get through. They aren't notified that their messages are not getting through and may just leave you alone since you aren't answering them.

If they persist by using another email account go through the same process.

And rlh is correct, report them to [e-mail]. Before you forward the message go to mail options general preferences and check the show full header option so that yahoo can see the ip address the person harassing you is using. That way they can see if the same person is using several yahoo accounts to harass you.

If it's an annoyance, ignore it. Most of the time it's someone wanting to provoke a reaction from you. Remore the reaction, and it's not fun for them anymore. Don't delete the e-mails. Save them all for future reference. You never know when you might really, really need them.

If it's reaching the point of criminal behavior or terroristic threat, contact law enforcement. E-mails aren't anonymous. With the header information they can track the originating IP address to a physical address and arrest the culprit.

Either way, don't play the game.
