In the United States abortion is legal. If a pregnant mother is killed the murder can be charged with two murders. This is inconsistant. It should either be legal to kill a fetus or it should be a crime. How can it be both?

It is a confusing issue. You will have abortion rights groups protesting the laws that prosecute the death of an unborn fetus because it then classifies it as "human". This is in direct conflict with their view that an abortion is okay because the fetus is not yet able to sustain life on its own, and therefore "less human". It cannot be both and it will be interesting to see how it all hashes out. I guarantee you will see lawsuits on this very issue in the next year.

i never got that either. it really should be all or none. killing a baby even if the baby is unwanted is still killing a baby.

so many people can't have children yet people kill their "unwanted" children all the time. just the idea of killing someone that is living inside me and needs me to breath, eat, and grow makes my head spin. having a baby is a amazing thing (aside from the birthing part) and killing a child either by choice or by murder should be outlawed.

it can't be both but we live in the usa some people can find a way in their hearts to deal with abortion and then they make the laws.

if you don't want a baby don't have sex or have safe sex. if your married and you have an unwanted baby... keep that baby. don't punish a child become you can't keep your pants on.

It's actually a very good question.

A criminal act should be treated as such.

An abortion is the legal termination of a fetus. Luckily for us our government doesn't dictate what we do with our own bodies in this regard.

And by fetus, I mean a living parasitic organism that cannot sustain life on its own outside of the womb.

Yeah, just like you'll have idiot liberals lining up to support abortion, whereby an innocent life that has yet to be born is killed without remorse. Those same idiots will also line up to protest the death penalty, when one of our states sets out to execute a serial killer that took many lives.

Because, if a woman wants the fetus growing in her womb it will have a chance to become a well adjusted, productive citizen in life. If she doesn't it won't.

Neither one should be legal and BOTH should be a crime.
Both are the killing of a baby.

I agree, it shouldl be all or none.

Of course, I dont agree with abortion, so i think it should be none, but we shoudl at least be able to make up our minds about it.
