Couldn't you just restart the mail services rather than rebooting the entire system? To reboot the server, you can use a RemoteDesktopConnection (RDC) into the system, assuming you have administrative rights, and then use the "shutdown -i" command from an MS-DOS prompt to launch a shutdown/reboot interface.

Hi!
Rebooting a server just means you are restarting the computer.
I guess you need to know where your server is..and then what the options are. Some NOCs have a ticket system for server reboots..others give you the means to do it yourself.

If the server is at home..you can't remote reboot without having some special hardware and software that allows this if the server is having problems. As pointed out in the post above mine..if you can log in to the server via RDC..certainly you can reboot that way as well.

APC makes some remote reboot equipment..as do many others.
