This is nothing but laziness. Must be embarrassing when he does that at a friend's house. Tell him yours is busted and he must use theirs! . Good luck.

Well first thing, don't embarrass him at all. Tell him that he needs to flush and if he says he will, but doesn't, put something near the mirror that says FLUSH, like the others are saying. If he still doesn't grasp the idea of that the bathroom is not an out-house, tell him that if he doesn't start flushing, your going to write in big letters FLUSH in permanent marker on his forehead so he remembers..... Maybe not like that but you get the idea. If that doesn't work, just wait. Eventually he's going to get embarrassed and only want to flush.
Oh and if there are any magazines or papers in the bathroom, remove them. It could be that he gets caught up in looking at a magazine or something that he forgets that he needs to flush lol.
Good luck

You need to make that boy wash the toilet everytime he "forgets" to flush. This must only be a problem with boys. I have both a girl and boy and yet, only the boy has this problem. Your son is 13 and still "forgets". It's time to make him remember. You need to be tougher on him about this. It's unhealthy and discusting. Make him realize why it's so important to flush and continue handing him the scrub brush until he corrects his temporary memory loss. Thank you and good luck.

I'm not sure what you can do, but I have the same problem with my husband...with holding games, or phone might help..putting up a sign for a week or so in the bathroom, something like don't forget to flush might get it in his mind and keep it there...I always ask my kids when they get out of the bathroom, if they flushed, it's annoying, but hey it may just work.
