you need to set up a share folder. right click a drive or folder and choose sharing. on the other computer you navigate to the computer by typing it name (you can also get to the drive with My Network Places)

(example: "//myserver/F Drive" )

Think about how much sharing of files you really do. If it is rare and just a couple files, look at buying USB flash drive and just move the files like that.

If you want the network option, be careful and do your homework. Follow the step-by-step instructions found on Microsoft's web site. Things can get complicated and simple mistakes leave you without your wireless internet connection.

you need to have a router to use two or more computers to the internet. since you will be getting a router, make sure it can also support wireless connection. you can buy a 3rd party router..better yet, for a free tech support you can call your internet service provider and ask them about the router that they support - chances are if your will be getting a 3rd party router they will not be able to support that, you will call the mfg of that 3rd party router for wireless configuration set up.
make sure also that your computers has wireless cards inside it. you can ask a tech guy to look/check for it.
call your internet service provider for a good suggestion for your wireless set up
