Confirm means to verify or assure, to put past doubt that a statement, a declaration, etc. is true, certain, agreed upon, etc.

confirm or conform? if to confirm...well because something is being asked
to conform...to be like everyone else... not to stand out too much from the masses-- people dont like things that are different... apparently
