I think they should rename it the Dr. Wit show...it seems like that is his main agenda anymore...how witty he can make himself sound...he gets on a roll...as though it has been rehearsed...and no matter what the guest are saying...he stays the course...no matter how ridiculous he sounds...used to be about helping people...but lately it seems like he just wants to grind people in the ground and see how smart he can sound doing it...I really think the show has gone off course. Sad...I had hope in the beginning...I guess everyone gets sucked into all the fame and glamour. Too bad. Anyone else feel the same?

I actually had respect for him as a professional when he first started appearing on Oprah, but he has become progressively less professional. His subjects often belong on the stages of Maury and not his own. He has become money-hungry and ridiculous with most of his 'projects' and stupid lines that make absolutly no sense whatsoever.
He pretty much infuriates me anymore.

I've alway said from the start they should have called it "Oprah Winfrey's Dr. Phil Show" basically because she owns it and she dicovered him. He did start out as a guest on her show. But, yes I agree with you. It seems as though he has become a pompous %$# who just likes to hear his own voice. And let me tell you it's so annoying and nasally.

Couldn't agree more. I used to like the show because he was helping people. Now it just seems to be about ratings. They get guests on their who are just outrageous and many don't even seem to want help.. Then Phil just tells them they're ridiculous. I haven't even watched it in several months. He's on his way to becoming the next Jerry Springer. It's disgusting.

I've always found him to be a pompous fart who like to hear the sound of his own voice way too much.

I've never intentionally watched his show or any show he's been a guest on.

No, I like him and I think he just tells people like it is. So many people sugar coat issues he is upfront about it and it is refreshing.
