The previous answer is accurate w respect to child & youth, but adult is more like 18-55 , & senior is generally classified as over 55 , & in some areas as over 60.
I was selected to be one of the umpires to officiate for the senior World Series about 10 years ago, & the rules are modified to ensure the player's safety, The minimum age to qualify was 55 at that time, w many players in their late 60s & early 70s.
They are permitted to overrun a base without being in jeopardy, & in fact sliding is prohibited for the safety of all. Home plate has a line drawn extending from the front corner to avoid collisions at the plate.
Folks in their late 30s & fortys may feel like seniors at times, but don't qualify based upon chronological age!!
