last night i was instant messenging my best friend and she told me about seeing this thing on tv about a man named duncan who killed himself. her cousin was making fun of him callin him the duncan doughnut. well that night they had a little "haunting expierence" with a lamp and they believed it may have been him. anyways last night she told me and i just laughed. right after i felt a strange chill and began smelling somthing like cinnamon. at that same moment my friend said something was wrong at her house and she felt a chill and strange smell like baby powder. we both kinda laughed it off cuz we thought we were freakin ourselves out. but just then she said felt a hand on her shoulder. and at that moment i felt cold fingers touch my neck. it went on for several minutes and everytime i said that the presence feels weaker it would get stronger again. finally around midnight it was gone and we went to sleep. the end. i hope. can anyone help me? or have we just lost it? thanx, mason

It was neither a ghost nor are you losing it. You both are highly sensitive to suggestion. The two of you were chatting about spooky things so it is no wonder you both spooked each other into believing you were having a ghostly experience.

Freaky - but I think it's one of those 'too many ghost stories' issues - its like being around a camp fire, listening to stories and getting scared. Don't worry, it's normal - it's when you get a thought in you head, and it causes a chill to run through your body... it's like when I used to read too many ghost stories at school - I'm come home at night, go to bed and scare myself silly (ever noticed how those horrible thoughts/stories come back into your mind at night)?

Unless you start experiencing those experiences of yours often, and notice serious haunting experiences - then you SHOULD be more concerned. Though, maybe next time - teasing or making fun of a dead person might not BE such a good idea... especially if HE doesn't think it's funny...

There are always sceptics, when it comes to these kinds of stories, but historically there have always been verified and scientifically unexplainable happenstances that can Only be explained if you open your mind and realize that there "could" be ghosts/spirits. I lived in a house in the Old South for 5 years that was absolutely "haunted", or more appropriately, "occupied" by something, or someone, extraordinary. Prior to living in that house, I might have said that you were imagining things, but now? ;-)

Yes, the spirit of this suicidal man was very much affended when she called him the "duncan donut", so he decided to pay each of you a visit. Seriously, dude, that doesn't even make sense. You're both just freaking each other and yourselves out.

It could possibly be a mixture of both. It's possible that something like that really happened, but you could maybe have imagined it a little, if that makes any sense. Hope that helps.

No, you really did experience spirits, though I don't know who they are. Last night someone said a word right next to my face, but I said "What?" And they didn't answer. It's nothing to be afraid of, we're just getting visitors!
