Heat and painkillers, then maybe some physical therapy and exercise to strengthen the back muscles.

Whoa, dragons! Bonecrushers are fine, but not for every back-pain sufferer in every circumstance. He says it's mild, so it could be just muscular. Try a couple of ibuprofen and a heating pad or hot bath to begin with.

You don't give much detail. Did you injure yourself? Then give it time to heal. A chiropractor can do more harm than good in that circumstance.

Where is the pain? Along the spine, or more lateral? Chiropractors are fine for realigning the vertebrae, but if your pain is lateral, it could be a urethral infection or some other nonorthopedic malady. Back pain can even be a symptom of cardiac trouble.

Try the home cure first, since you're not in agony. Then see your regular doctor if you have one, or a good general practitioner. Then when you've narrowed down the cause, you might want to see a chiropractor.

Siatic nerve ever bother you before??? If you are having other signs or symptoms I would go straight to webmd... get an idea as to what might be the problem and then schedule an appt. with your Dr... there could be some underlying condition...

This one time I was having severe back pains and spasms and it was all due to an un noticed UTI that lead to a kidney infection, thus causing my horrid back pain.

Best of luck to you. Don't wait too long, being in pain is no fun.

For temporary relief, use a hot water bottle on the sore area. I've found that a combination of deep tissue massage, chiropractic adjustments and exercise have helped my back immensely. Soon I will be starting Yoga classes, which should help to strengthen and stabilize my spine and core.

well...i go to school for massage therapy....a massage for back pain is great....i chiropractor is good but will just align your verterbre but a massage will help relieve muscles as well as get rid of any stiffness..your back also might not be the problem.tight leg or even *** musclces may result in back pain...either way....massage is great...if u do wanna see a chiropractor try getting a massage first. it will help loosen muscles before the adjustment making it easier and less painfull

You need to get yourself to a doctor to find out what's causing the pain before you can know how to stop it. It could be muscular, related to the discs in your back, or it might not even be your back. Other conditions such as kidney infections cause back pain. Please see your doctor.
