Go to a health food store and ask for a liver cleanse, there different ones on the market and they help the liver be healthy and cool it on the drinking. You will know if your liver is on the verge of collapse because you will start bleeding from the back end, by then its to late to do anything but get a liver transplant. You get put on a waiting list and chances of getting one when you need it are slim at best.

depends on how much damage has been done if any. You can have your doctor draw blood work to check your liver function. Milk Thistle is a good supplement for cleansing the liver, but make sure you check with your doctor first before taking any supplements.

The liver is the ONLY organ that regrows itself, and yes it will repair itself as long as
1. the damage already done isn't beyond extreme (& if it were you would know it, jaundis)
2. you stop doing things that are harmful to your liver.
Acedominaphine and alcohol are the 2 worst things for your liver.

You liver may or may not heal itself if you quit. Without even thinking about your liver you have done permanent damage to so many other areas of your body already so it is a good idea to stop drinking to lessen the amount of permanent damage to your body.

It might. Depends on what caused the damage and how progressed it is. What's more certain is that stopping drinking can help prevent further damage to your liver.

Of course it will. If you have problems with your liver, you shouldn't be drinking any booze. It can recover. It will help your entire body function better.

That depends on a lot of factors: like how heavy a drinker you've been, what kind of diet you have, as well as other pathogens you may have been exposed to.
One thing though: stopping drinking won't hurt your health, and generally it will make things better. It will generally improve your cardio-vascular, endocrine, and neurological health. So go for it.
