Call the bank upon which the check is drawn and request to do a merchant verification of availability of funds. They will ask for the a/c number, name and amount ...they will then let you know if there are sufficient funds to cover the check amount....

Many times you can call the back where the check was written from to see if the funds are available. Also, to make sure you do not have any bounced checks, go to the bank it was written from and have them cash it for you. Sometimes they charge you $8 to get the cash.

Call the issuing bank and tell them you want to verify funds. Doesn't mean there aren't 12 outstanding checks against that amount; just indicates there is enough money NOW.

Call the bank that issued the check, they will ask U for the
account numbers on check. They can run it in their computer and tell U.

You can call the bank that the check is writin on and see if it will clear

It might clear at that time and not when your bank deposits it
so
I'd take the check to the bank it was writen on and ask for the cash

Hi!
Well..you could take it to the bank it is drawn on..and try to cash it there..that could certainly work.

If it is a out-of-town bank..you may be able to call and verify funds on it. I have no clue how that works.

Good luck!

Some bank 800's offer a vendor line, that you can punch in all the info on the check you received to see if it will clear.

good luck & bless

Call the bank or go to the bank to cash it in. "the bank" is the bank that the check is drawn from.
