I don't know what anti-virus you are using, but from experience as a consultant and personal use, the anti-virus I like to use is AVG Free. Just search for it, it's free to install, quick setup, free virus definition updates, and it uses A LOT less system resources and power to run in the background and scan than Norton or McAfee

Make sure you uninstall the antivirus and then reinstall it again....

did you keep all the package from the product, there will be a number or code you have too type in when you reinstall it, my be you wrote it down somewhere.
