some people don't live or have better just because it has union written across it

The unions are corrupt & just like Representative Government they no longer represent the workers or citizens! They are puppets to the puppet masters in rule & control of the money illegitimately so! Unions have all but been eraticated anyway thanks to Republicans!

workers who are represented by unions, generally enjoy a higher standard of living than their non-union counterparts due to benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, in addition to retirement benefits and countless other benefits that are negotiated with credit card providers, auto and life insurance companies, discounted legal services, member counseling services, and the list goes on and on.
additionally, employers and customers who use union labor benefit from the high level of training and experience and professionalism that a journeyman craftsman brings to the job site.
recent polls have found that union membership has dropped slightly in recent years. that is largely due to the union-busting policies of the current administration. those same polls state that most employees would enroll in a union if they could.
unions have been fighting for workers rights since their inception and continue to do so. without unions there would be no OSHA to ensure a safe work place, no limit on the number of hours an employer can require you to work, no over-time pay and no weekend, just to name a few of the benefits to you all.
there's power in numbers. and collective bargaining gives power to the working man.
