Do you have regular cycles--between 21 and 40 days in length and don't vary by more than 5 days? Also, have you ever had an STD or PID or used an IUD or the Depo-Provera shot?

I thought I couldn't have kids either. In fact, I even went to an OB and had ultasounds and blood work done because i was convinced something was wrong. In September we stepped up our TTC efforts and I even bought a Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor off of ebay. (I HIGHLY recommend buying one yourself) Despite timing everything perfectly it took until January..and I got pregnant!! I am now 9 weeks along and very excited. You know what I did differently? I stopped worrying so much and as soon as I did I got pregnant. Here are some things I did to help nature though..
Used my clearblue easy fertility monitor to know exactly when I'd be ovulating.
Took Evening Primrose Oil from menstruation - ovulation. If you don't have lots of egg white cervical mucus this helps a lot.
Drank green tea every day until ovulation.
Took Robitussin for a few days before ovulation, it helps thin your mucus making it easier for sperm to travel. Make sure you take the plain Robitussin, no letter after it.
Used PreSeed, I highly recommend this too. The first month I tried it I got pregnant! I know lots of other women who swear by it.
PreSeed is a lubricant that is sperm friendly and also helps if you do not produce lots of egg white cervical mucus.
Have sex every other day while fertile and after sex, put a pillow under your but and lie there for at least a half hour. I did all of this and I'm pregnant so I figure I did something right, lol.
All this being said, I would recommend you get a pre-conception check up. My OB scheduled an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay inside and also did blood work to check my hormone levels, etc. Everything came back okay and I think that knowing everything was biologically okay made a difference for me. It still took a few months but I got pregnant. Good Luck and I hope you get pregnant soon! :)

Maybe it's not your time, it alsotook me five years to conceive, not that I was trying but it should have happened. I believe ovulation is at it's highest either 14 days before or after your period. You can look up an ovulation chart on the internet. Can I ask how old you are? I'm not one to judge I became pregnant when I was 23, but I just like that everyone be informed and sure of what they are doing when it comes to pregnancy, having children can be a great thing but also life changing and time consuming. Whatever your choice good luck and happiness!

I would talk to your doctor about this if you are really serious about having a baby they usually say to try for at least a year before seeing a specialist. For some it is really easy to conceive for others it takes a long time, just depends. There are a couple ways to tell if you are ovulating like your body tempature will increase, your vaginal mucus will increase, and it will land about two weeks after the first day of your last period if you have normal cycles. The website below allows you to read more about it and even lets you put in your period date and personalize a ovulation calendar.

First off, go to a GYN doctor and get an exam. He will evaluate you and send you for some tests. He can have a sperm count done on your partner to rule out if he is the problem or if it is with you. Infertility tests can be expensive. Sometimes when you are trying too hard you don't become pregnant.
A friend of mine tried for years, went through all the tests and still nothing. They signed up to a adopt a baby from China and wouldn't it figure, the day they learned the adoption went through, she found out she was pregnant. Have yourself checked professionally before you start to get all uptight about why it's not happening.

ok well the good Lord has better scence then we all do so maybe u very well can get preg but ur timeing is off and who ur with is off. Just think... if u had gotten preg with that other guy then u would now have a child without a father and mother together. If u have had gotten preg this time around with the guy u are with then u would have a baby brought into the world with parents not married and possibly could never get married. I say do it right! find a man u want to marry, get married and try having a baby. I think u will get preg, u are just doing it the wrong way. thank God u havent gotten preg, it could be a horrible situation for u.

Try not to jump to conclusions. You won't know that until you see a doctor. It may just be that your body is not ready. There is a reason for everything.Just keep your chin up,When the time is right it will happen.Couple of things you can try,you can put a pillow under you while you are having sex,to angle your pelvic so the sperm can get to you easier.Afterward try not to get up right away.Lay in bed for like a half an hour. You can go get an ovulating test and try it.**** luck.Remember that it will happen you just need to have faith.

the best time of the month to get pregnant is 14 days after your period. i have also been told that eating ice cream will better your chances of getting pregnant. i have been also trying and i think that i cannot get pregnant because my body is still filtering out the birthcontrol that i was on for a couple years.
you can buy a machine that has strips that you pee on and it will tell you when you are ovulating. i am going to wait another month or 2 before i sonsider purchasing an ovulating machine. my doctor told me to try for six months and if there is no luck then make an appointment with him and we will discuss reasons why i cant get pregnant.
good luck. and have patience.

my sister in law had unprotected sex with my brother for like 5 or 6 years and didn't get pregnant. since he had a child from a previous marriage, she thought she couldn't have kids. well, she ended up getting pregnant.... and then went on to have another! it may just be timing. if you are truely worried try using fertility monitors or ask you doctor. good luck!!
