If we lived in a society society in which no one had sex and and there was no form of physical contact whatsoever, do you think people would still criticize homosexual relationships?

*There is more to a relationship than just sex.

More than ever. People just love to hate. Combine that with the fact that nobody would be getting laid... it would be mayhem. :)

Firstly, I don't think people should criticize homosexual relationships. Homophobia is wrong.

Secondly, I don't think that a society without human touch is at all desirable. Human touch is an important way of expressing and receiving love.

However, I think if such a society existed, there would be very little reason for those who currently criticize homosexuality to criticize homosexuality.

This question also raises the question of whether the categories homosexual and heterosexual would exist if human touch and sex didn't exist.

In an ideal society, I think we would see people as people, and not categorize them based on gender, race, nationality or sexual preference.

I think people will always criticize anything that is outside of what they perceive as "normal" Peoples version of "normal" is normally how they see the world. So I am afraid to say that yes, they would. I don't think the sex is that big of a deal. People just do not understand homosexual relationships and so they look down on them. Such a sad trait of man. It makes me loose my mirth.

No sex?? What would be the point of it all?

How about a society with all sex and no relationships?

I think I saw this movie. Women were paired off with one another, men were kept in brothels where they had sex with each other and the occasional female when she was fertile. Boys at puberty were sent to live with the men to learn how to be gay/bi.

Either that or it was a dream.

I think that gay sex, specifically when refreeing to men, is what turns people off to homosexuality. SO, if there were no sex, being gay would be no different than being straight....just another love relationship.

Probably. If it is outside of the "norm" people will find a reason to hate. Ignorance will never go away--- even if gays weren't having sex. It is sad. really sad...and I don't kow how you all deal with it. Best to you!

They certainly would. The children of ignorance are raised to believe certain things without any basis of fact.
