Lots of people with Poly-cystic Ovary's have problems with weight. In addition to medical treatment for your condition, Weight watchers is a GREAT idea!

There are lots of people on the forums (www.weightwatcher.com go to community and message boards) who have it and are being successful! All you need to be sucessful at weight watchers is the determination to stick with it and eat healthy!

In addition, I know from friends of mine, that loosing weight can help reduce symptoms. So, I'd say GO FOR IT! Weight watchers still has free registration until next week, so you could go to just one meeting with no commitment for only $12 if you'd like to see if you like it. Meeting locations are on the website to!

Good luck!

If you are asking if one should lose weight when one is overweight................the answer is 'yes'. If you have poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome, you will probably need to have surgery, as I did. I do not see why you put these together to ask a question.
I did not lose any cysts when I lost weight. You do not gain weight just because you have poly-cystic overies. Speaking as a 5'5" lady who weighs about 105 pounds, I know that being thin did not affect my cysts, anymore than before I lost the weight.
I hope you decide to shed the pounds, as it is harmful to be overweight at any time.
