Yes, I have heard of "Spring-Heeled Jack". I didn't remember about him until your question. I first heard of him back in the 1970's from "Ripley's Believe It Or Not".

Thank you for the link to read up on "Spring-Heeled Jack".

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Oh yeah, I've heard of this guy. In one story I heard, he was a shape-shifter, and a hunter that specialized in hunting supernatural creatures figured out it was the Legendary Spring Heeled Jack committing murders in her area, so she hunted him down, and after a terrible battle she defeated the monster.
That's the short version anyway.
I'm not sure what the truth is behind this story... maybe shape-shifters are real... hmmm....

In "The Elder Scrolls IIII: Oblivion", there is a legendary item for the Thieves Guild quests called "The Boots of Spring Heeled Jack".

That's one more thing Bethesda has borrowed from history I suppose.

Yes. If I recall correctly, it was an English character from the Victorian age. I seem to remember that had was a normal man but with special shoes. I doubt it if this was a real character as the ability to leap as he was said to have done seems a bit impossible considering the technology of the age he was in.

Yes! He creeped me out a-plenty growing up. If I recall, he would attack women, tear their clothes, and breathe blue flames in their faces. And then he would, appropriately, spring away when anyone tried to catch him.
