They have both recently toured as separate acts and have separate essential Floyd elements. Given Waters currnet touring material and Gilly's which would you prefer?

If you're not going to give a truthful answer don't post anything. I love Secret machines, too, but i didn't ask question about them. Why would someone go out of their way to to debunk? Even if you know the floyd a little or even dislike you can either write gilly or waters. I dont associate with morons so if you are one, please dont answer.

David Gilmour by far... why??? well Waters is a great musician and he certainly created THE WALL, however is the WALL the best Floyd album??? don't think so, David Gilmour has created such a universe with his guitar, he writes excellent music pieces, for instance, momentary lapse of reason and division bell (albums that usually floyd fans do not like) are essentially Gilmour works, and they are amaizing, besides, his personality all along (Middley, Moon, wish you were here, and ultimately ANIMALS) has been undoubtably "The floyd sound", when it comes to individual musicianship he is all over Waters. To me is very clear... I respect other opinions. ;)

I have seen both on solo tours and I prefer Gilmour. He seems more melodic, sings better, I can relate to his lyrics better, and he plays guitar and I prefer to hear his guitar than Water's bass or whoever he has on tour with him. I love Waters but he is too cynical for me. Excellent bass but I love lead guitar better.
I enjoyed seeing Mick Ralphs with David on one tour. That was a treat.
I would prefer Gilly's

Gilmour. He plays and he sings. Waters is good and all but GIlmour has an amazing voice and he is one of the most talented and original players ever.

I went for his show in Dubai, UAE on Feb 21 (last month) & it was one amazing show.
he sang his new song - Leaving Beirut it was like WOW, he also played songs from The Wall, Wish you were here, Animals, Final cut, & more songs Shine on you crazy diamond, mother, & ofcourse Wish you were here. He and his band also played the complete Dark side of the moon. He also played Comfortably Numb.
