when I die, I do not want to spend one dime on disposing of my body. Is this possible? if not, what is the cheapest way? donate to science? or what? Does being a veteran help? City dump is fine with me.

I understand your dilemma.

However, we have "laws" governing this, that I think vary from state-to-state. But, in no state, will they just let you lay around and stink up the place.

Come to think of it, there could be one way. You could hire a serial killer to kill you and dismember you and....nah, that wouldn't work. He'd probably charge you more than it would cost to bury or cremate you.

I think you're sunk. Start saving your money now.

Actually, you could donate your body to science. This may, however, upset your family if you have any, as it may be some time before your family would get your body back, if ever, for burial. I believe whomever you donate your remains to will pay for your burial should you go this route.

Good luck!

Well...you could donate your body to science - but I can tell you that many medical schools to which you can donate do charge a fee. The one in which I work charges $100 I believe - and that's to cover multiple costs such as retrieving the body, all paperwork tied to the whole deal (sounds like there's a lot), cremation of the body, etc. But, each medical school varies, some don't charge a thing...you may want to look at the websites of various medical schools and find out what their policies are.

Donate it to a medical school. Next cheapest is cremation.
