I'm normally very good at remembering to take my birth control pill, but in the past week I've forgotten twice (back to back) and had to double up on pills on Friday, and again on Sunday. Could I become pregnant?

I'm happily married and will be okay with a child, it will just be an unexpected blessing for us!!!

Please no "opinions" I'd like some factual information with back up reference when possible - 10 pts only go to serious answers. THANKS

i would suggest contacting your local planned parenthood office for a qualifed answer to your question. i happen to know from personal experience however, that you could become pregnant from such lapses but it is a fairly rare occurence.

Depending how long you have been on your pills to prevent getting pregnant, when your ovulation is during the month, and of course the act of intercourse during this time. Most likely not but 1 in a million it takes to get pregnant. You will if it is meant to. Wait until your next cycle, if you miss it then have it check. If your forgetting your pills why not try a new birth control that you won't have to take daily. There are many ways of preventing pregnancy. Talk with your doctor. Myself, two children and I forgot my pills too but neither were conceived because of forge ting my pills as I did time from to time. It just changed my cycle a bit by one to two days. Good Luck and Congratulations if you are.
