People always say it's bad, but they never actually give a good reason.

Maybe, it's good for your eyes once in awhile. Why not? Sounds good.

See what I mean? The first 2 answers are just something about retinas burning out, whatever that means. These people don't want to explain, they just want to get angry.

Even when the sky is overcast, yet you still can see the circle through it, if you stare at it, it can cause damage to your sight. Over time, if you make a habit out of staring at this object that gives off nuclear light, your eyesight will break down and fail.

Yes, once in a while it's good. Then when your eye retinas burn out, after about 5 seconds, you can get a seeing-eye dog. Or maybe you'll look for just 2 seconds, and burn the retina only a little bit. That way, you would not be completely blind. Perhaps after a few months it will heal, or maybe not.

If you want to go blind pre-maturely, go ahead. Go see an optometrist and he/she will lecture you about it. Your retina's can become burned from the UV light the sun gives off. So wear sunglasses when outdoors.
