How do you know if your friend only considers you as a special friend and not more than that? What are the signs? How do you distinguish the line that crosses friendship and love?

i think that every great friendship is the beggining of love... you oviously are very close.... it just depends on weather you take it that step futher. this is a complicated question.. its like asking why as humans do we fall in love. its pretty unexplainable i guess its to do with chemical bondings and how you view that person

If you have a platonic friendship, then neither one will show signs of wanting to become more. However, usually it's one person who feels more attracted than the other. The signs vary - everyone is different. I have a friend who started developing a crush on me, I didn't help because I was flirting too even though I thought I was just being playful. Well, he told me one day that he really wants to be more than just friends. I told him that I wasn't interested in him that way - we're still friends... but, now I know that I should act a little differently as to not lead him on. Another thing, we both don't feel awkward - it's all a learning experience.

If you can even tell the signs to distingish whether it's friendship stage or love, then I'd say you are not ready yet. Don't put on any deadlines, just enjoy & cherish the friendship, when the right moment comes, both of you will just fall into it without needing even words.

The same thing happened to me, i didn't realize it until it was too late. Whenever he saw me at school he would yell, "LISA!" and give me a big hug that almost always made both of us fall over, luckily we didn't. He asked to lay on my lap, he would put his hand on my leg, asked me to give him a massage, he was always saying, "you're funny, " in that way when guys have a crush, you know, whenever i made a joke or sarcastic comment. If your'e signs aren't s as obvious as mine then she must be shy, doesn't wanna let you know how she feels, or has no idea that she's leading you on. Thats happens to me a lot, i appear to be flirting when i'm not and i don't realize hat i am until someone told i was or i realized too little too late. I hope this has helped you some.

I don't know if you're a girl or a guy.... But if you're a girl, then let me tell you that he likes you. If you think he *might* like you, then he likes you. Trust me. I married my best friend and we used to go through that crap all of the time. He always talked about how great it was that we were just friends and nothing more, and he always talked about other girls, and he even made fun of me.... But that's how some guys are. He probably wouldn't have gotten so close to you if he wasn't interested.

honestly?
the line is the sexual temptation ...if one of u gets into that and the other one reacts OK...u could become lovers...more than that, why don`t u try to discuss about your relations, your feelings, your friends and so on... and your Friend should do the same...and perhaps that u will find out some clues from this... but who knows?...
so - sexual attraction, feelings open talked, gesture... etc TRY!
