I know department stores give you three months to change your mind on a mattress, but I was going through a nasty divorce and had other things on my mind. Now it's nearly a year later and I've hated this mattress selection the entire time (pillowtop). I had the mattress inspector from the department store come out, but they won't help me. Do I have any options?

Nope, you have no options as far as returning it or replacing it. You can sell it through your local newspaper or wait for spring an have a yard sale. But, it's not going back to the place that it was purchased. Sorry.

usually if its out of warranty you're SOL. When I bought My mattress They said they couldn't take it back if it had the plastic off. How are you supposed to find out if you really like the mattress with the plastic on!?!?

Nope, they don't care that you had other things on your mind. You knew the time limit and didn't turn it in.
If you hated it from the get-go you should have given it to the ex in the divorce proceedings.

After a year, you should not expect the store to take it back.

look at your warenty, is it still packaged up and in its original condition? if u have still got your recipt they may well give you a refeund. give it a go! good luck :) x

The only way they'll take it back now is if it's defective in any way.
