It ran when it was parked and everything seems to be there. There is very little rust. what should I replace to get this thing running good. I found it in a barn so it was in dry storage.

You are definitely going to need to get any old gas out of it and replace it with fresh gas. Replace the air filters and check the carb to make sure everything is moving correctly. Most likely a new battery as well. I would do that, try to fire it up and see where it gets you. Considering the car is nearly 50 years old...you may need to replace gaskets and hoses...i doubt they have held up.

I would replace all hoses and engine harness wiring. You also need to inspect fuel lines, and seals. You also need to do a complete flush of all fluids and lubricants. I a m not sure if that is diesel or gas, but if it is diesel, I would replace any relevant glow plugs or timers. Good luck with it!

yeah what they said. ever heard of dry rot? thats what has been happening to every peice of rubber and plastic on the car. your pistin ring will also be very brittle and may need to be rebuilt.
