Going to Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). Will leave in there passport, return air tickets and credit cards. Should I worry?

I would not leave those items in a famous five star hotel in NYC. Check with the front desk about secure lock locations within the hotel.... but never leave anything of value in a hotel room.... even rooms that have built in " safes".

You should take your passport with you, not so much because the safe is not safe, but because you might need it. Leave a copy of your passport in the safe. Separate your credit cards. Take one with you, and leave one in the safe.

no don't worry as long as it's a combo lock. if it is a key lock i might be concerned.
