Actually, it's Sandy hasn't taken a polygraph as he promised to do. Why isn't that crook in jail?

Neither of them did anything worth spending the kind of money that was spent on their trials.

I would guess that the majority of people reading this have HEARD of Scooter Libby but don't know who he is, and even more of the people reading this have absolutely no idea who Sandy Burglar was.

If you insist on making this comparison then yes, I would say Libby's actions were a bigger threat to national security. I would say Libby wins this hands down, by a mile.

It still does not excuse Sandy Berger... It also does not excuse you by acting ignorant by comparing apples to oranges. Is it more criminal to shop-lift than engage in insider trading? I would say insider-trading is a more serious crime since it impacts stock holders and their livelihoods. Berger stole an item of files from previous years to protect himself and his boss... Libby revealed a covert agent and imperilled her life, her colleagues, and her informants. It also potentially imperilled years of expensive intelligence gathering around the world. Both are serious but the impact of Libby's crime is more severe.

But if you want to save face (I don't know why though, unless Libby is a relation of yours) and slam Sandy Berger then be my guest.

Well, what Scooter did was get a fair trial by a jury of his peers -- who found him guilty. He certainly was a threat to the life of Valerie Plain (sp). Sandy Burger ... that would be up to the federal prosecuter wouldn't it?

Libby was not charged with ANY crime relating to national security.

If he lied to investigators, he deserves to be convicted.

I thought Berger got off too lightly - he committed national-security related crimes.
