My wife and I have had sex many times in our private pool because it is such a turn on for us, but now we have a hot tub and are unsure about having sex(other than oral) in it. Without a condom, there has to be some body fluids that enter the water and we are unsure if the filter will take care of it or will it just get all over us. Anyone have experience with this that might help make a decision?

I have had hot tubs since the early 70's and hubby and I have indulged a lot over the years - never had any problems - just maintain the chemicals and completely clean the tub according to manufactures directions. Good luck and happy tubbing -hehe!

As long as you keep up with the maintenance on the hot tub, you'll both be ok. I've had a hot tub since 2001 and have had a lot of fun in it.

Don't worry about it, the filter will work wonders.

I actually read that its not good to have sex in a pool because when the guy is thrusting, water is being forced into the vagina and that can cause an infection...ewww. A doctor said this.

It's ok to have sex in your hot tub. The chemicals used will kill any kind of bacteria from body fluids. Enjoy!

Well I had me and my ex boyfriend has sex in a hot tub. & Since you never know what bacteria is in it. Or how clean you get it. I got a really bad infection from it. It was really bad. It got me really sick, and I was always either in the ER or in the doctor. It took me 7 months to get rid of it!

your filter will be fine but the 'left overs' will remain in the water until it is cleaned out with chemicals or by dumping the water.

Not to worry. Filtering and chlorination will take care of it.

Well you can't be worried about cooties. What's the issue? Just do it. Who cares if it "gets on you"?
