Passing blatantly unconstitutional laws is a serious waste of taxpayer money. They should be ashamed.

As it is wholly symbolic it will make little difference. If it were to legitimately be banned it would affect African Americans the most. They use if far more in colloquial speech than whites, especially in New York.

If they have enough time to be passing symbolic resolutions good for them. It seems to me though that a city the size of New York would have plenty of real problems the council could be addressing in the time they are spending on gestures.

good idea but then again will the people follow it since people have been using that word mostly in their daily lives and that words just keep popping out from their mouth occasionally. So, how are they gonna make it illegal?

Yeah, I don't understand why you waste all the time on a symbolic law. You can't even get penalized for it. Wasteful? I think so.

n the world can u ban a word i think its stupid i hate that word but if other ppl want to say it let them its called free speech i can see it now headlines in the nyc paper first man arrested for sayin the n word AND I BET HALF THE POLICE FORCE SAYS IT TO HAHA
