to a point, you will lose oil and need to check it and fill it. If your exhaust is close to the cover like on a V8 then you have a potential for fire if it is leaking a lot (wet liquid all over)
They only take about 2 hours to change and are real easy. I charge in the neighborhood of 100.00 to 130 depending on the cleanup needed

Half the valve cover gaskets on the planet leak. Just keep an eye on your oil.

you have possibly finished this, yet purely in case i'm going to ask you to envision the valve disguise bolts lower back. each so often we forget to tighten one interior the sequence, and it may reason a leak. be careful to no longer tighten them too tight, yet all of them ought to be extra desirable than comfortable. relatively the no longer elementary to realize ones interior the lower back. The oil has a tendency to pass in the direction of the rear of the engine and those are the main difficult to get the wrench on. optimistically your restoration is that this common.

Should be, providing it is a small leak. Just make sure you have oil in the engine. Get it fixed, shouldn't be that much to fix.

If it is not leaking badly, it should be fine. Make sure that it is not getting on the exhaust manifold, as it could, conceivably, cause a fire.

Not for long...this is usually not too expensive to fix...but fix it soon or you may have more problems than you want and can afford.
