Which Tiki Barber were you watching? Yea, he had some problems but he more than made up for it. Let's put it this way, I've seen worse, a lot worse. You try gaining 10,000 career yards and then have some one tell you that you suck.

He, just like Ahman Green of the Packers (now Titans), solved their fumbling issues and became elite RB's. Tiki Barber might be the greatest RB New York ever had. He's definately the most versatile running back they ever had. He does deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame, too, btw.
Also, LT and Shaun Alexander haven't done what they've done because of bad tackling. They did it by having the best offensive lines in their respective seasons, having run-oriented offenses, and having a respectable passing game to keep teams on their heels. Saying that this has been an "era of bad tackling" is selling those accomplishment short, considering those guys did it against great defenses, too.

You're all alone in this as far as I am concerned. You can thank much of his production to his elusiveness. Emmitt Smith ran behind the best offensive line in football. Tiki Barber most certainly did not. His numbers are Hall of Fame quality.

Dude, you are SERIOUSLY alone on this. I dont know what Giants games YOU have been watching....
The guy was all-heart, no glory; very reliable, finished in the top 3 rushers for the season in like, the last 4-5 seasons, broke all sorts of Giants records, was a great blocker, was very smart.......
What the hell's wrong with you???
I dont even wanna be near you for saying that!
I sit in Section 117 in the Meadowlands, STAY AWAY, blasphemer!!!

Um, ok. He had a CAREER yards per carry average of 4.7. To put that in perspective, Tomlinson has a career YPC of 4.5, Alexander has 4.4, Emmitt Smith had 4.2, Edgerrin James has a 4.1. Of the 20 backs in history with 10,000 + yards, only Barry Sanders and Jim Brown had a higher YPC average.
Yes he had fumbling issues early in his career, and thats what sticks in peoples minds. He had 5 200 yard games, only OJ Simpson had more with 6.
So like it or not, Tiki was one of the elite backs to ever play the game.

I would agree early in his career he had fumbilitis, but in the last few years he was a stud. We will see how the dynamics of the Giants offense have to adjust because they don't have back to do what Tiki used to do!

Tiki Barber was great. The Giants had nobody as versatile as Tiki was. Come on, look at his career yardage..

I only half heartedly agree. While I believe he proved he was a good NFL back, I never quite understood why so many in the TV world placed him the "PREMERE" category, which he clearly was not. He would have good games, then two flat games, three good games, three lousy. With the exception of the Superbowl year, he was not a factor in the post season.

I would say you are alone. Wait until next year and see if you miss him.
Once he stopped fumbling he accounted for the bulk of the offense.
His numbers are not simply a result of 'the era of bad tackling" or many others would have similar numbers....
