Last season, he was a baserunning coach with the New York Mets. Henderson is credited with helping Jose Reyes improve his techniques, well on his way to leading the National League in SBs. I would love to see Rickey Henderson play again, though. He looks like he could play at least three more seasons, but his bat speed is gone, and at best he would be a pinch runner.

I like the way Yankee Dude put it. But if Rickey is still be in baseball I'm sure it isn't with The Giants, at least not the San Francisco Giants. There's not a dressing room in the country that would fit both Rickey's and Barry Bonds egos into it.

I will say one thing, to be as old as he is, the man can still play baseball. The average player enters the league at his current level.

Its starting to become more common for atheletes to play a sport well into their 40's and even 50's. Many of those atheletes will have Ricky Henderson, Tim Raines, and Rodger Clemens to thank.

He's not signed with anyone this year. He's in the New York Mets camp as a special instructor focusing on baserunning, but isn't there as a player. I think even he may have come to realize that his playing days are over.

He was playing out in California i think, with Canseco but that team went bankrupt. I'm sure Ricky's still stealin bags somewhere in America, it's a shame though because he would have been in the Hall by now if he'd stop playing.

He has been associated with the Mets as a spring training baserunning coach.

He's pretty much exhausted every level of competition but I hear he may be trying out for one of the Williamsport little league teams in August.
