Your best bet is to pick up a copy of Astronomy magazine or check out their website at www.astronomy.com.
Great monthly resource, lots of articles plus lots of stuff on events (meteor showers, eclipses, occultations, etc.).
They have even had articles on technology and tips for astrophotography.
